The fierce, unstoppable popstar and her three-year old son tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago. Pink took to Twitter to share the news that both of them were showing symptoms which is why they got tested. The good news however is that the star seems to be on her way to fast recovery as she tested negative a few days ago. She has been under self-isolation with her family in L.A.
The Grammy Award singer however, does not want her fans to take the virus lightly. In a series of tweets, she said, “It is an absolute travesty and failure of our government to not make testing more widely accessible.” “This illness is serious and real. People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families, our friends and our communities,” she added.
In addition, Pink also announced that she will be donating $1 million to two coronavirus-related relief funds, calling the health workers, ‘heroes’. She urged her followers to stay home, stating, “These next two weeks are crucial: please stay home,” she wrote. “Please. Stay. Home.”
