The passive-aggressive mob can rejoice!
Twitter is rolling out a new messaging feature that looks a lot like iMessage’s popular (and also loathed) Tapbacks.
Following Apple’s path, Twitter announced today that it will offer Message-like reactions to direct messages for its users—who can add any of their normal directory of emojis to direct messages.

According to reports, Twitter had trialed this emoji feature in 2019 and is now offering to all its users on the web, iOS, and Android.
Twitter said that users in a direct messaging thread will receive a notification any time a new reaction is added to a message.
To use the new feature, users will have to hover over the received message, and click the reaction button OR double tap on the message to pick an emoji from the pop-up.
Thankfully, reactions can be undone too.
