Huawei has launched new smartwatch aimed at the adventurous and sporty amongst us.
While it might not be the most ideal time to launch a sporty wearable, there is more than enough amongst the 100 workout-tracking modes that Huawei has packed into the GT 2e to cater to those working out indoors.
The GT 2e supports 15 workout modes including eight outdoor (running, walking, mountain climbing, hiking, cross country running, cycling, open water swimming, and iron man triathlon) and seven indoor ones (walking, running, cycling, swimming, free training, elliptical machine, and rower).
Though similar to last year’s GT 2 in specs, there is something new in the GT 2e— a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring feature, that lets users to monitor heart rate, stress level and sleep quality in real-time.
Running on Kirin A1, the GT 2e comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display, 50m water resistance, supports GPS, and according to Huawei, can run two weeks on a single charge.
Available in black, red, and green, the GT 2e will be priced at AED 599 in the UAE market. It is available for pre-order starting May 7 and will be on the shelves starting May 14.
