While the story that Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West dining at Cheesecake Factory for two nights in row in Ohio seems to be making headlines currently, we decided to report a little something else about the model/entrepreneur.
With the launch of her body contouring undergarments around the corner, Kim Kardashian has decided to change the name of her line to ‘Skims’ from ‘Kimono’.
“I love the idea that the pieces will be the closest thing to someone’s skin, skimming with amazingly soft and supportive fabrics which accentuate the best parts of our bodies,” West posted, along with a photo of models from different ethnicities and sizes modelling the garments.
The change in name follows the controversy when Kardashian first announced in June that the line will be titled ‘Kimono’. Many took offense, arguing that the kimono is the traditional Japanese robe, firing up the hashtag #KimOhNo all across social media.
While she opposed to the criticism that said kimonos are not traditionally worn as undergarments, she later posted on Twitter that she will work towards changing the name in an effort to be inclusive.
Kim Kardashian’s ‘Skims’ line launches on 10th September.
