Renée Zellweger has completely transformed into Judy Garland.
The first song from the upcoming film Judy has been released on Spotify, featuring Zellweger doing a spot-on cover of Garland’s version of “Over the Rainbow.” You can listen to it here:
We already knew that Zellweger was a great singer after her performance in Chicago, but this rendition of “Over the Rainbow” is a whole other level of talent. If this doesn’t win awards, I don’t know what will.
Judy takes place in 1968, 30 years after Garland starred in her most iconic role as Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz. Garland had a string of financial and relationship troubles throughout her life, forcing her to move to London to work or else risk losing custody of her children.
Judy arrives in theaters Sept. 27.
