Amr Waked has announced via his Twitter account that he will be next seen in the Wonder Woman 1984.
If you aren’t familiar with much of Waked’s work, the actor 46-year old actor has been a part of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, a project that was nominated for three Golden Globes. He was also cast in Lucy alongside Scarlett Johansson where he played the role of a French police captain. Now, Waked is all set to make an appearance in the superhero universe.
The actor tweeted, “Stay tuned for my appearance in the film Wonder Woman 1984 (Part Two), directed by Patty Jenkins and expected to be released in June 2020. God willing, you’ll all enjoy the movie.” While this might confirm his role in the upcoming movie starring the stunning Gal Gadot in the lead, no more details about Waked’s character have been revealed. Naturally, alongside Gadot, Chris Pine and Connie Nielson are set to reprise their roles among other regulars.

Waked is currently working on Ramy, a Hulu comedy-drama in which an American-Muslim is on a spiritual journey in New Jersey.
We certainly cannot wait to see Arab talent shine bright on an international platform, especially something as big as the Wonder Woman movie.
