J. K. Rowling has revealed her coronavirus diagnosis to the world. The Harry Potter author took to Twitter yesterday to inform everyone that had experienced all of the COVID-19 symptoms including respiratory problems. She has however not been formally tested yet.
She did go on to say that she has fully recovered, thanking one particular doctor at Queens Hospital in the U.K. Rowling further went on to share this doctor’s advice for anyone else who might be experiencing similar respiratory issues. “I’m fully recovered & technique helped a lot,” Rowling wrote.
In a YouTube video, the doctor says to take two sets of five deep breaths in, and on the six breath, asks one to cough out, covering the mouth; this helps in opening up the throat and lungs. After this exercise, the doctor suggests that the viewer lay face down with their face in the pillow and repeat deep breathing for 10 minutes.
Please watch this doc from Queens Hospital explain how to relieve respiratory symptoms. For last 2 weeks I’ve had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven’t been tested) & did this on doc husband’s advice. I’m fully recovered & technique helped a lot.https://t.co/xo8AansUvc via @YouTube
